Emphasis on Encapsulation – and an Innovative Green Surprise from Sweet Dreams
At the Bed Show, Sweet Dreams will be showing key examples of what is acknowledged as one of the widest ranges of UK-manufactured divans and mattresses. The privately owned Lancashire company boasts 11 collections of beds in its portfolio, including adjustables, and a collection of bed frames.
New for 2019 will be an emphasis on encapsulated beds, with the Enchanted collection renamed as Defined Edge Support. Sweet Dreams has witnessed increased interest and sales in foam-encapsulated beds and is expanding the collection with new pocket spring models offering higher spring counts. These beds will be launched at Telford.
Other models will also be shown to the trade for the first time in September, across most divan collections. Retailers looking for high spring counts, luxury specifications such as hand stitching, natural fillings like cashmere or wool and of course the memory foam and pocket spring constituents which are as eagerly sought after by consumers as ever will find an extensive choice at a wide selection of prices. For those new beds not on show, the brand new 2019 Sweet Dreams Beds brochure will also be launched at Telford and all models will be featured.
Compliance is a critical factor in manufacturing goods for the British marketplace – perhaps the most essential – and Sweet Dreams has always paid huge attention to this, with an excellent record to prove it. Visitors to the Sweet Dreams stand will be pleased to learn that earlier this year, the manufacturer established a state-of-the-art product testing hub at its Scholefield Mill in Nelson, just a mile or so away from Sweet Dreams HQ. Scholefield Technology Centre comprises no fewer than seven machines, including one testing for mattress durability and a flammability testing area. The centre is designed not only to ensure that beds and all own-manufactured products are fully complaint before leaving the factory, but also to make considerable savings of economy and resources in enabling the manufacturer to test on-site. Staffed by a compliance manager and technician, the centre is a member of SATRA and Sweet Dreams anticipate gaining UKAS accreditation later in the year.
Last but definitely not least, Sweet Dreams has a new capsule collection of beds under wraps ready to launch at the Bed Show. Based on an innovative premise, with the emphasis on green, the models are sure to generate a high degree of interest from retailers. Look out for the talk of the show on Stand H40.
