Get set to party in style and celebrate 10 years of our Bed Show at the annual Gala Dinner and Award ceremony on September 17 at the Telford International Centre.
Having received a rapturous reception as the host of the Gala Dinner in 2012, 2013 and 2015, Gyles Brandreth is no stranger to the bed industry and will once again be welcoming and entertaining guests at the sparkling evening event.
Gyles’ unique career has encompassed the role of Baron Hardup in Cinderella, MP for the City of Chester and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury. In the latter role, he countersigned the largest cheque in UK history alongside HM The Queen. He’s now a regular on The One Show and Radio 4 institution Just A Minute and has also appeared in Countdown’s Dictionary Corner more than any other guest.
We are also delighted to announce that for the first time at this well-established event there will be live entertainment. Flash is the world’s most authentic Queen tribute act and will be performing a melody of hits with replica equipment and costumes.
“We wanted to make our 10th Gala Dinner and Award ceremony a memorable occasion and a chance to thank all of those who have supported us over the last decade,” said Jessica Alexander, executive director of the NBF. “Bringing back Gyles Brandreth was a no-brainer – he has been one of our best loved hosts. We also wanted to add a bit more pizazz to the evening and introduced some live entertainment which we hope will go down a storm! We look forward to celebrating 10 years with the industry.”
Kicking off the evening in style will be a drinks reception in the foyer from 7.15pm. This will be followed by a three course sit down dinner and coffee in the Ludlow Suite plus the results of the annual Bed Industry Awards.
Tickets for the event, which includes fundraising for the industry charity The Furniture Maker’s, are now available to book here.
