The Bed Industry Awards – honouring the brightest and best enterprises in the bed market – are back for 2019.
To celebrate 10 years of the Bed Show, the established awards have been given a makeover and there are six brand new categories for businesses to enter for 2019.
Renowned for being a pinnacle of excellence in the trade, the Bed Industry Awards showcase the very best in inspiration, design and innovation from bed manufacturers, suppliers and retailers. The awards are free to enter and all entries are submitted online.
“Our Bed Industry Awards are an integral part of the Bed Show and the Gala Dinner and this year we’ve shaken the categories up to give them a new dimension,” said Jessica Alexander, executive director of the NBF. “The awards are well respected because we keep our judging panel independent. We actively seek judges who are credible, bring industry knowledge and category-specific skill sets and have confidence in their decisions when assessing the entries.
“Competition is tough at the moment with budgets squeezed but entering, and possibly winning, an award can help to differentiate businesses and stand out in a crowded marketplace, especially for consumers who look at award wins as a trust mark.”
This year there are three new awards for NBF manufacturers/suppliers exhibiting at the show: Bed of the Year, Accessory Product or Component of the Year and Innovation of the Year. From the entrants, a shortlist of finalists will be published, and judging by an independent panel will take place on the afternoon of Monday 16th September before the show opens for business.
“However, if Innovation of the Year is a service or marketing initiative, rather than a product, then this will be judged prior to the Bed Show,” added Jessica.
For retailers there are also three categories to enter: Independent Bed Retailer of the Year, National Retailer of the Year and Pure Online Retailer of the Year. An independent judging panel will judge the entrants before publishing a shortlist prior to the Gala Dinner.
